Fri May 6th to Sun May 8th – 38 Hour Tile Express
Captain Steven Sr reports that despite “Mother Nature” we beat our way out to the grounds. We did not have a great start to the trip due to the conditions. Fishing was very slow. By 11AM conditions straightened out and we had good drifts with excellent fishing until about 2PM with double headers coming over the rails. Then “Mother Nature” gave us a curve ball and fishing slowed down. By about 5PM things changed and we started picking away again until we had to go home. Captain Steven Sr and mates Steve “Ho” and Steve Martinez filleted for over 3 hours sending everyone home with a great product. All in all it was a good trip with everyone taking home plenty of fish. High hook was Michael Bunch from East Hampton, NY with tile, hake and barrel fish. The first place pool went to Joey Montalto from Bronx, NY and second place went to Jacob Leifer from Hershey, PA. The largest edible pool went to Adam Nowak from Linden, NJ with a barrel fish. *Sorry there are no photos due to the mates being so busy with the Sold Out trip!
