Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports just an OK night on the bass boat tonight. We had to wait a while for the tide change and once the ebb started we started to pick away at mixed size bass, with some big ones, some smaller good eating sized ones, and some shorts. Considering that the ebb tide has not been too friendly to us this year, we were happy with a fair catch of bass onboard tonight. Mesias Sorcha came all the way up from Ecuador to take the pool with a 31 lb bass, while Jorge Arizaga from Flanders, NY split second place with Grettel Estrada of Southampton, NY with 29.8 lb twins with fins striped bass.

Capt Dave G reports a great morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had lots of nice sized fluke, and big sea bass and porgies. It was a beautiful morning on the water. The first place pool winner was Stephanie Blieka from Montauk, NY with a 6.6 lb fluke. The second place pool winner was Santo Fiordimalva from Ardsley, NY with a 6.5lb fluke.
Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports good fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We had mixed sized porgies, some sea bass, about 6 decent sized fluke and a striped bass. The first place pool winner was Alex Costa from Hillside, NJ with a 3 1/2 lb porgy. The second place pool winner was Lesley Smith from Elmont, NY with a 17lb striped bass.
1/2 Day Fluke PM
Capt Dave G reports a nice afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We started slowly at slack tide, but once the tide started to run, the fish started to bite! We ended up with a nice catch of keepers fluke, sea bass and porgies. The pool winners was Antonio Eseada from Elizabeth, NJ with a 6lb Fluke.
Full Day Fluke and Seabass.
Full day fishing was as hot as the weather today! We had jumbo sized Fluke and Seabass coming over the rails all morning. The bite slowed down for a bit as the tides changed but we managed to put some super nice fish on board as the tide started moving again. Such a beautiful day of fishing and weather. The first place pool winner was Ki Sun Kang from NYC with a big 7.9lb Fluke. Second place went to Carlos A Casasola from Roosevelt with a 7.2lb Fluke.
