John Viol Cod Fest – Viking Star
Capt Steven Sr reports Good! Good! fishing on the Codfest. On the first half of Day 1 it was bouncy and a bit rough. Once the drift straightened out the fish started biting and it didn’t stop until dark.  At the end of the day we filled the coolers with Cod fillets. We moved on to Nantucket for Day 2, under tough conditions we picked away at nice quality Fluke. Our biggest Fluke was 9 1/2 lbs. We had an excellent trip with a great group of guys. We are looking forward to next year. The first place Cod pool winner was John Viol from West Babylon, NY with a 16 lber. The Edible pool winner was Mike Piechocki from Attica, NY with a 14 lb Pollack.
