Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We started off the morning with perfect conditions and were catching jumbo porgies. We had really good action for about an hour but then the bite slowed. We went looking for sea bass then and got plenty of nice keepers. Later on in the day conditions picked up again. We got some nice big sea bass and the porgies started biting again. Everyone topped off their coolers at the end of the day! The pool winner James Hom from Manhattan NY with a nice 3.8lb scup!
