Block Island Cod & Sea Bass – Limited Passenger
Capt Steven Sr reports a tough day on the Viking Star, but we put a catch together. We had a lot of dogs in the morning so we moved off to keep clear of them and had a pick of Sea Bass, some Cod, lots of Porgies, Bluefish and a Bonita. A real mixed bag! When the wind finally dropped out we drifted and we saw some really nice catches with nice big Sea Bass and eliminated the dogfish. The drifting produced better fishing today than anchoring. The Cod pool winner was Tony Ho from Queens, NY with a 12 pounder. The Sea Bass pool winner was Jonathon Gomez from Hampton Bays, NY with a 4.2 pounder.
