Full Day Montauk Ultra Limited Jumbo Fluke & Knothead SeaBass – Viking Stariper Capt Aaron reports that we picked away at sea bass all morning with a slow drift. The drift picked up at the end of the day and we then had better fluke action. The pool winner was Jim Brennan from Keyport, NJ with an 8.1 lb Fluke.

1/2 Day Fishing – PM Pool Winner – Rich Poole from West Islip with a 6.5lb Fluke. Report to Follow.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We started off the morning by going offshore looking for sea bass. We found a good pick of sea bass and small porgies here. Then we went back towards the lighthouse looking for bigger porgies but they were hard to find. We had plenty of nice medium to large sized fish but very few jumbos. The pool winner was Steve Seabrook from Sayville NY with a 2.5lb scup.

Sunset Magic Hour Mixed Bag Tonight’s trip saw lots of action with a bunch of fluke, sea bass, scup, mackerel and tons of sea robins. We had a slow last hour of the trip due to slack tide but Thursday’s trip will have ideal conditions start to finish. Tonight’s pool winner was Eddie Beekman from Sayville, NY with a 4lb fluke.

1/2 Day – PM Capt Joey D reports that the fish were out there this afternoon. Our anglers had their share of action, with the lucky ones going home with keepers. There were fluke, sea bass and porgies brought onboard today. The first place pool winner was Chris Eckart from Hampton Bays, NY with a 5 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Claire Grobler from Upland, CA with a 4.8 lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports that porgy fishing started out a little bit slow today on the Viking Starship. We looked around a bit then anchored on a nice pile of mixed sized porgies with some sea bass in the mix. Once the tide got heavy we went to the east and found a bunch of sea bass with some porgies mixed in. We had limits of sea bass up to 5 lbs and limits of porgies around the boat. The pool winner was Chris Luttecke from the Bronx with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.

1/2 Day – AM Capt Joey D reports a very good day of fishing on the Viking Star. We had a lot of action with fluke and porgies. The pool winner was Betty Green from Huntington, NY with a 5.8 lb Fluke.

Half Day Fishing PM Captain Joey D reports another good afternoon of fishing today. It was still great action . We had some nice fluke, porgies and sea bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Mark L of Pelham with a 5lb fluke and in second place was Hunter H of Montauk with a 4.75lb fluke.
