Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies
Capt Dave reports Excellent fishing today on the Viking Star! The bite was slow to start with the wicked tide at the lighthouse, but the quality of Porgies was incredible. We headed down the beach to get out of the tide and it was a bail job of mixed size fish. When the tide eased we headed back to the lighthouse and topped the buckets off with limits all around the boat. We also had some action with small Bluefish, but they didn’t interfere with the Porgy bite. The pool winner was Toolsieram Singh from Elmont, NY with a 3.7 lb Porgy.
