Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports an excellent morning of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We made a few drifts first thing right by the point and got our fill of mostly nice size porgies. Then we made our way around to do some sea bass fishing. We had to pick through some of the smaller ones, but everyone ended up with their limit of trophy size sea bass, from 4-5lbs. We also had some fluke and blues in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Steve from Jersey City with a nice 4.5lb porgy and in second place was Jims Quan of Brooklyn with a nice 5lb sea bass.
