Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports a decent Full Moon trip on the Viking Star. The first couple of drifts saw some big quality Montauk Moo cows hitting the decks. Then, for a while longer, we picked away at some medium sized Stripers with a few more XL bass in the mix. We had pretty steady action all night until the end and when the tide started easing off, so did the bite. We ended up with a decent catch for the boat. Rich Taliani of Massapequa, NY took first in the pool with a 42 pounder behemoth Bass, and Chris Luke of Southampton, NY took a close second with a 41 pound Striped Bass.
