Tue Oct 1 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports great fishing on the Viking Starship. We had an excellent drift first thing this morning close to the island. There were big beautiful Porgies and plenty of them with some SeaBass mixed in. We then went outside and found mostly small stuff. The second spot was very good. SeaBass City!! It was loaded with fish from 3 to 5 lbs, also nice size Porgies. We fished that spot until it slowed down and hit one more area that was a slow pick of Porgies and SeaBass. The first place pool winner was Milton Howell from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.25 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Susan Lowe from Whitestone, NY with a 5.2 lb SeaBass.
