Sat Oct 5 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We tried close to the island to start, but the drift was to fast. We headed offshore and it started out as a slow pick of Porgies & SeaBass, but it got better as the day went on and everyone had their limits. We also had 3 or 4 keeper Cod and a few throwbacks and a couple of Bluefish. The first place pool winner was Cornell Armstrong from Teaneck, NJ with a 2.4 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Khaled Mohamed from Staten Island, NY with a 4.8 lb Cod.
