Wed Oct 30 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a lot of action on the Viking Starship. We stayed offshore all day looking for Jumbo SeaBass and it paid off. The fishing was really good every spot we went to. There was a good mix of Porgies and big SeaBass. The Porgies were mostly medium size today. We tried out four spots with each starting out really good, but we would have to move because the dogfish would chase us off. We also had about a dozen Cod in the 8 to 10 lb range, Pollock and some Bluefish. The first place pool winner was Tommy Manolopan with a 3.1 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Siu Cheng with a 14.6 lb Cod.
