Mon Dec 23- Block Island Mixed Bag

Cap Dave reports the best fishing in the last three days today aboard the Viking Starship. A beautiful day on the water, light winds and warm temperatures.  A slow but mostly steady bite. We got plenty of Ling, Pollock, quite a few Cod and over 25 Sea Bass. No Porgies today.  We were harassed some by Dogfish and had to move around to avoid them. Pool winner today was Elliot Arakanchi of Brooklyn NY with an 8 pound Cod.  Captain Dave and all the captains, crew and staff at the Viking Fleet wish all our customers, friends and business partners a wonderful holiday season.  We’ ll be back fishing on Friday Dec 27th.  If you like variety in your fish, the Block Island Mixed Bag is a great trip.  Bring a variety of hooks to catch the small-mouthed Ling and Whiting and some big hooks for Cod and some hook sizes in between. Sea Bass season ends Dec 31st so there’s still time to put some in your bucket and in your freezer. There’s no telling what we’ll find on the Mixed Bag trip.
