Sat June 20 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Captain Derek reports that the trip started off decent with some short fluke, Bluefish and short Striped Bass. We were able to get a keeper out of it with some Scup and nice Sea bass (that finally opens Tuesday.) We made a move a little down the beach and picked away on some nice size Porgies and more short Fluke. Finally near the end of the trip we got a nice flurry of keeper fluke, which was great to see especially with the water warming up. First place pool was Ana Teixeira from East Meadow, Ny with a 5.5 lb Fluke. Second place was Jose from South Setauket, NY with a Bluefish weighing in around 6 pounds.
