Sun Oct 4 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave M reports a very productive day on the Viking Starship. We worked the deep water all day. We had to move 5 times. The bite would be great for the first 45 minutes to an hour and then slack off. As soon as we moved, it got hot again. Mostly large Porgies, a handful of keeper Cod and Bluefish and plenty of Mackerel. Exceptional Sea Bass were the fish of the day. Everyone went home with plenty of fish. First place in the pool went to Jin Hua Chen of the Queens NY with a 3.2 pound Porgy and the edible pool winner was Kostas Plexidas of Cherry Hill NJ with a 5.2 pound Sea Bass.
