Sat Nov 20 – Blackfish / SeaBass / Cod

Capt JR reports a great trip on the Viking Star . It was a productive morning on the Blackfish grounds with most anglers catching keepers. Those who were more Blackfish savvy definitely had a good morning with several catching their limit. The Blackfishing has been getting steadily better every trip. We also picked a few Sea Bass and Cod while fishing inshore. As we ventured offshore to the Sea Bass grounds we found excellent fishing with Jumbo Knothead Sea Bass coming up all around the boat. All anglers caught their limit. We also had a good showing of larger Cod with a few in the 15-20 lb range. The Blackfish pool winner was Paul Flass from East Hampton, NY with an 8 lber. The SeaBass pool winner was Paul Luguercio, Sr from Center Moriches, NY with a 4 1/2 lber. The Cod pool winner was Tom Perrillo from Smithtown, NY with a 20 lber.
