Sun Nov 21 – Blackfish-SeaBass-Cod Trip

Capt. J.R reports an excellent day of fishing in the Viking Star. They started the day Sea Bass fishing with lots of Knot Head Sea Bass coming up all over the boat along with several Cod fish in the 10-25 lb range. That was the most abundant and largest sized Cod we’ve had so far this year. The Black fish grounds brought us difficult conditions. However, they had a decent pick all afternoon with some quality fish in the 8-9 lb range coming up. Several anglers that fished hard easily had their limit of fish. The Black fish pool winner went to Michael Bunch from Flanders with a 7lb Black fish. The Cod fish pool winner went to Juan Cabada from Manhattan with a 25 lb Cod fish.. The Sea Bass pool winner went to Willy T from the Bronx with a 4.4 lb Sea Bass.
