Thur Dec 16 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. They spent the morning fishing in the Sea Bass grounds, there were plenty of fish to catch and even a few Cod fish. From there they made their way east to where they had some excellent Porgy fishing, the size was mostly larges. Overall fishing was great with a mixed bag of large sized Porgies, Sea Bass and Cod Fish. The Porgy pool today was a tie between Danny Logan from the Bronx and McFarlane from the Bronx as well with 2.2 lb Porgy. Tomorrow’s 5AM Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass trip is cancelled due to the weather, but we look forward to sailing on Saturday, purchase your tickets online or through the office before the sell out!
