Fri June 17 – Sunset Jigging for Striped Bass & Blues

Capt Carl reports an action packed Jig-a-thon Bonanza last night on the Viking Star! Even though conditions weren’t great with the outgoing tide up against a stiff southerly breeze, the fish were still there and still chewing ferociously! Striped Bass of all sizes, Giant Blues, and hub-cap Porgies were all flying over the rail at a constant pace! Great fun was had by all, and 13 year old Chris Kelly from Hampton Bays, NY took the pool with a perfect 14 lb slot Bass. Saturday’s trip is cancelled due to the predicted windy weather.
