Thurs July 23 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a slower trip on the Viking Star. Fishing in general was a bit off the bite with the east wind today. Porgy fishing was a slow pick with little fish in the mix. SeaBass was tough on the first day. We threw back a lot to keep a few, but there were a couple of real good ones. There was a three way tie for first place between Tak Ho from Queens, Lloyd Patterson from Brooklyn and Bevon Robin from the Bronx with 2 1/2 lb Porgies. The edible pool winner was Angel Rodriguez from the Bronx with a 2 3/4 lb SeaBass.
