Fri June 24 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports much better fishing today on the Viking Star. It was a good morning at the with really nice size Porgies and a few SeaBass mixed in. We then ventured to the east and found mixed size Porgies and SeaBass. There was a good ratio of Porgies to SeaBass out there, but it was heavier on the SeaBass side. We just had to pick through the smaller ones. The first place pool winner was Charles Vaughn from Hempstead, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Onofrio Modugno from Queens with a 3 1/2 lb SeaBass.
