Thurs Aug 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports another good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started off down the beach to get out of the tide and had a lot of fish. There were mixed size Porgies, Trigger fish and keeper Sea Bass. After that we hit the lighthouse and found bigger Porgies. To end the trip we headed east to the Sea Bass grounds where we found some bigger Sea Bass and a bunch of Fluke. Nicky Noel from Brooklyn won the first place pool with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was a 7 lb Fluke. Winners name is unknown.
