Wed Aug 31 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a fantastic trip today on the Viking Starship. Conditions this morning were beautiful and the fishing was hot. We loaded up on Porgies fishing around the Lighthouse this morning, plenty of large and jumbos. We then made our way east to try for the SeaBass and it was very good fishing. Mostly all the SeaBass coming up were keepers and easily had our limit. Overall excellent day of fishing. We did not have a pool today on the Starship. Starting tomorrow September 1st, the SeaBass limit opens to 6 keeper size per person, so come on down and fish!
