Mon Sept 5 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a great day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We had a relatively light crowd this Labor Day which made for a great day to do some exploring and it was a Porgy “Bail Job”. We started off the morning anchored up on a nice rock pile east of the Lighthouse where we had an excellent pick of Porgies and keeper sized SeaBass. When the tide switched we hid around the cliffs where we had some double-triple header Porgy ACTION! We did end up with a handful of keeper Fluke and Mackerell as well as a couple Blue Fish. There was no pool on the boat today.
