Sun Oct 9 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports an okay day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. The full moon tide mixed with the West- North- West wind made for more difficult fishing off of Block Island. The pick was slow, but we managed to get a handful of keeper SeaBass and Porgies for every angler. We did see a few Cod on the boat today as well as some Mackerell. The first place pool winner went to Mr. Parks from West Islip, NY with a 4 lb Jumbo Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Douglas Draxe from Brooklyn, NY with a 12 lb Cod. We will be sailing for Colombus day tomorrow (October 10th) at 5 AM.
