Sun Oct 30 – Blackfish & Sea Bass – Viking Starlite

Capt JR reports a great day of fishing today on the Viking Star. We found lots of big Knothead SeaBass this morning easily getting our boat limit. The morning also saw Cod fish in all the areas we fished. We moved inshore to the Blackfish grounds and started with a pretty good pick of fish and again found a few cod. Conditions kinda deteriorated and the boat flip flopped all over the place. We stuck it out anchoring, re-anchoring, and anchoring again and continued a consistent pick all afternoon. Some guys had there limit with some beauties going in the box. The Blackfish pool winner went to Rafael Nieves from the Bronx with an 8lb fish.
