Wed Nov 9 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Superstar. We started out up close to the island due to the weather and mostly had Sea Bass in the shallow water. It was a mix of big and smalls with everyone retaining a handful of decent size Sea Bass. When the weather calmed down we were able to head offshore and found some Large Jumbo Porgies and good size Sea Bass in the deep with one over 5 lbs. There were also a couple of Cod. The pool winner was Noel Henson from Jones Beach, Long Island with a 3 lb Porgy. We are definitely sailing tomorrow on two trips. 5AM – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass on the Viking Superstar and 5AM – Coxes Ledge Cod & Sea Bass on the Viking Star. The office will open at 4am for check in and ticket sales.
