Fri Sept 1 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out anchored up east of the lighthouse. It was two hours of decent Porgy and Sea Bass fishing without much tide. Most of the Porgies were large sized. We went offshore in search of more Sea Bass. At the first spot we had mostly small stuff. At our second spot we had excellent Sea Bass fishing with Jumbo Porgies mixed in. The pool winner was Luell Smith from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.
The bonus season has begun!
