Sat Oct 21 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty decent day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. This morning we hugged close to the island and had slow and steady pick of medium and large sized Porgies and Sea Bass. When the weather straightened out we shot out offshore to continue our pick of fish with some Blackfish, Cod, Mackerel and Trigger fish mixed in. The first prize pool winner went to Ruben Escobar from New Rochelle, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Van Wells from Philly with a 7 lb Blackfish. We will not be sailing for our 5am Block Island Porgies and SeaBass trip tomorrow (Sunday, October 22nd) due to windy conditions.
