Wed Dec 6 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt JR reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. The morning bite was definitely very good with lots of sea bass and porgies making up the majority of the catch. The afternoon tide change slowed the bite down a bit but we maintained a decent pick for the remainder of the trip. We had a very nice showing of cod today long with some pollock, ling, and mackerel to top off the buckets. The pool winner today went to Evan Bennet from NYC with a 2.6 lb Porgy. We will definitely be sailing tomorrow with two boats, both the Block Island Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass and the Coxes Ledge Cod and SeaBass trips will be leaving at 5am, the office will be open at 4am for ticket sales!
