Sat May 18 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Carl reports a slow start but a strong finish on the half day boat. We had to wait for the tide to get going, which took a while with the East wind blowing. We marked plenty of fish and bait, but they had lockjaw for a while, until finally at the end of the trip, thousands of birds started working, dolphin and fish busting the surface, and finally… bending our rods! We had a bunch of short Striped Bass and a couple of keepers to finish the day with. The pool winner was Michael Winters from Calverton, NY with a 12 lb Striped Bass.
