Mon May 20 – Montauk Spring Porgies
Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing today on the Viking Starlite. It was a long start to the morning before the fish got rally biting, but patience paid off and the bite ended up twice as good as the yesterday, with more fish, bigger sizes, and better quality. We probably had the largest Porgy we’ve seen all season so far at around 3 pounds. We had a few others on the boat around that size as well. We did not have a pool on the boat today with the light crowd, but we will definitely be getting back out there again at 5am tomorrow (Tuesday, May 21st).
