Sun May 26 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports a much better day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starlite. It was a one shot kind of day. We made our first and only drop of the day, which stayed active and constant the whole time so we stayed there and picked away at mixed sizes Porgies, from small to large.  We did see a couple Blue fish in the mix!  The first prize pool winner went to Leighton Perry from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The second prize pool winner went to Jose Contreras from the Bronx with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. We will definitely be sailing tomorrow Memorial Day Monday at 5am for our Montauk Spring Porgies, the check-in window will be open at 4am.
