Fri May 31 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt Steven reports an excellent morning of fishing today on the Viking Star. We started off our morning jigging off the Lighthouse pulling up plenty of Bluefish with some really nice size to them and a couple throwback Striped Bass. After a couple drifts we got onto a really nice pile of fish with 3 keeper Bass on that drop. We started to see a handful of medium to large Porgies coming up jigs along with some decent size Seabass that we had to throwback, because they are out of season. We made a move just south of the Lighthouse and did a couple drifts bottom fishing, where we had a couple throwback Fluke and a small Sundial. Our last drift we boated two keeper Fluke and called it a day! Overall an excellent day of fishing, with a true mixed bag pick of fish! We will be sailing on both our morning and afternoon trips tomorrow from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm! Come on down and catch some fish!!
