Sat June 15 – Sunset Jigging for Striped Bass & Blues

Capt Carl reports an action filled night on the sunset Jigging trip! We started off working in some birds and caught a bunch of Bluefish, Fluke, Porgies, Sea Bass, and other assorted fish, keeping the rods bent and having a good time! As we ventured into other areas, we found more bluefish, and a couple of Striped Bass. We had a fairy tale end to the night as the magical Montauk Sunset went down, Captain Carls Nephew Matthew Briggs, who refused to give up all night, was rewarded with a LUNKER! He did an amazing job getting this big one to the boat and landed his personal best Striped Bass! Way to go Matt!!
Martin Wellen Dowd took the pool tonight. Congrats Marty!
Don’t forget, Captain Carl will be sailing on our Full Moon Striped Bass Bonanza trips next week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night! We will be using Live Eels for bait and these trips are Ultra Limited Load for MAX passenger comfort.
