Wed June 19 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starlite. There was an excellent early morning tide giving us a steady pick of nice size Porgies and throwback Sea Bass. When the tide changed it was dogged up and the Porgy bite got tough. The pool winner was Thomas Wynn from Valley Stream, NY with a Jumbo 2.7 lb Porgy. Unfortunately the trip is cancelled for tomorrow, but we will be sailing Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. The long awaited Sea Bass opener is this Sunday and we will be sailing on the 144′ Viking Starship!
