Fri June 21 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starlite. From start to finish fishing was hot today with some mixed sized fish from some really little Porgies up to JUMBOS. We had some great action first thing this morning that slowed down a but as the tide eased off. We did a little looking around making a couple drifts off the lighthouse with a steady pick. We had a couple guys jigging and boated a good amount of Bluefish.  The last spot we got on we ended up anchoring up as there was some serious quality fish, not a whole lot of fish, but the size was there. The pool winner today went to Sammie Love from Bristol, PA with a 2.8 lb Porgy. We are definitely sailing tomorrow on the 144ft Viking STARSHIP for our 5am Montauk Spring Porgies. The office will be open at 4am for ticket sales!
