Fri June 28- Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a very good say of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started off our day with a slow steady pick just off the lighthouse house, we saw some nice big Porgies in this pick with only a few small ones mixed in. We then worked our way to the east looking for some SeaBass and had a lively pick of mixed sized SeaBass up to 4 pounds and a few Porgies. We did land ourselves one keeper Striped Bass on the boat and saw a few throw back Fluke in the mix. Overall it was an action filled day on the Starship. The pool winner today went to Damon Plummer from Ervington, NJ with a 2.6 lb Porgy! We are filling up for tomorrow’s trip at 5am so if you are looking to come, make sure to book ahead before we sell out!
