Sun June 30 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship despite foggier weather conditions. The weather wasn’t great today visibility wise but fishing was just fine. We started our morning off in the Porgy grounds and picked away at some really nice fish, mostly large and jumbos in the mix. We moved offshore after a few drifts to target the larger SeaBass. We did have to pick through a lot of little SeaBass but between the small stuff mostly everyone was able to find their limit of large Seabass. The Porgy pool winner went to Ouskin Jesther from Hempstead, NY with a 2.2 lb Porgy. The SeaBass pool winner went to Richard Johnny from Pennsylvania with a 4 lb SeaBass. We are a go for tomorrow’s 5am Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead SeaBass, our office will be open at 4am for ticket sales.
