Tues July 23 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We had excellent fishing from the get go, we anchored up off the lighthouse and had non-stop Porgy action for a little over two hours with mixed sizes, small to large. After loading up on Porgies we set off to the east, headed towards Block Island and did some SeaBass fishing. Conditions were a little more difficult out there with a strong wind against tide, but we did manage to pick some quality sized fish, with some anglers getting their limit. The pool winner went Earl Wint from Manhattan, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. We will NOT be sailing tomorrow (Wednesday, July 24th) on our 5am Montauk Lighthouse Porgies and Seabass, but plan to sail again on Thursday, July 25th.
Please be advised, we have imposed a pricing update for our Montauk Lighthouse Porgies and SeaBass, we will be offering a reduced rate if you book online. Tickets will be more expensive when purchasing at the window in the morning.
