Thur July 25 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports very good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out anchored at the lighthouse and had excellent Porgy fishing. In one hour we had almost our fill of mixed size Porgies, so we took a look around for some bigger Porgies to catch. East of the lighthouse on the change of tide we found them. We then headed towards Block Island for a Sea Bass drop and had to pick through small fish, but we did find some really nice ones. There were also some keeper Fluke and Mackerel in the mix. The pool winner was Juan Morroquin from Freeport, NY with a 2.6 lb Porgy.
