Thurs Aug 1 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports pretty good fishing today on the Viking Starship. Unfortunately the Porgies were on the smaller side today compared to the past couple trips, but we did have a nice bite. We worked through a few of our local spots and definitely had our fish, just more mediums than the large and jumbos, with a few Mackerell mixed in. We then worked our way offshore towards Block Island and picked at some SeaBass, not a whole lot of fish, but some good quality size. The pool winner today went to George Rojas from Williamsburg, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Everton Devonish from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5 lb SeaBass. We will be sailing again tomorrow at 5am on the Viking Starship for our Montauk Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass, call or book online to secure your spot!
