Wed Aug 14 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass

Captain JR reports another great day of fishing on the Viking Starlite. Today was much like our last trip over to the island. The sea bass fishing was excellent, with all anglers quickly getting a beautiful limit of knot head bass. The fluking was on par, as we found some lovely flatties in the mix to add to the catch. In addition, some giant hub cap scups added even more meat to the solid haul. The fishing has been consistent, and we look forward to returning this weekend. Today’s pool winner was Bobby Bang from Brooklyn, NY, with a 4-pound fluke. The runner-up was Kelvin Ma from Queens, NY, with a 3-pound sea bass.
