Sun Sept 15 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass

Capt Steven Sr. reports some nice action today on the Viking Starlite. Despite tough conditions with the wind off of Block Island, the bites were plentiful. We saw a lot of small SeaBass and short Fluke, but did find a good amount keeper SeaBass in the mix, with only a couple Fluke to bring home. We did see fish at every drop, just nothing of great size. The first prize Fluke pool winner went to Michael Dext from East Hampton, NY with a 6.5 lb Fluke. The SeaBass pool winner went to Young from Flushing, NY with a 4.5 lb SeaBass. Our next trip we will be sailing on Wednesday, September 18th for a 5am Block Island Mixed Bag Bonanza on the Viking Starlite. This is a limited capacity trip sailing with 20 passengers targeting whatever is biting off Block Island.
