Sun Sept 15 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports another good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We decided to start off in a similar area as yesterday so we set offshore to the east. With windier conditions today, we decided to drop anchor for our pick. The bite remained steady today on the SeaBass, seeing some really large to jumbo sized SeaBass. Which is once again a big improvement in the SeaBass pick this season. Porgies bit well today too within the medium to large range. We did see many mackerell again today, as well as 2-3 keeper Fluke. The Porgy pool winner went to Milton Silverio from Patterson, NJ with a 2.3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Tyler Smith from Queens, NY with a 4.3 lb SeaBass.
