Fri Sept 20 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a half-way decent day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We struggled a little bit with the weather today, not being able to fish in most of the spots we wanted to, but we did still get into some calmer areas that had good action. We saw some nice sized Porgies today with a few decent SeaBass mixed in. There were a lot of little SeaBass to pick through, definitely more throwbacks than keepers, but we did find a good pick, along with a couple Blue fish on the boat. The pool winner today went to Edward Brown from the Bronx with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner today went to Marvin the Great from the Bronx as well with a 6 lb Blue fish. We are most definitely sailing tomorrow at 5am on our BLOCK ISLAND Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Seabass, our office will be open for check-in at 4am.
