Mon Oct 21 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started off up close to Block Island this morning making some nice long drifts picking away some medium to large sized Porgies. We didn’t really say anything jumbo today, but it was steady picking. There were a lot of little SeaBas in the mix today, but the we definitely had some beauties mixed in! To finish off our day we went out towards the ledge and had pretty similar fishing. The first prize pool winner today went to Lloyd Stewart from Brooklyn, NY with a 2.3 lb Porgy. We will definitely be sailing again at 5am for our Block Island Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass on the Viking Starship tomorrow, check-in will start at 4am.
