Wed Oct 23 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out by Block Island in perfect conditions. There was wind against tide and we drifted 4 hours catching beautiful Porgies and mixed size Sea bass. We made a move outside to the deeper water by the windmills finding a handful of Porgies and Sea Bass, a bunch of Triggerfish, a ton of Mackerel and Green Bonitas. All in all we put a nice catch together. The first place pool winner was Nancy from NYC with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Jeffrey Gonzales from Corona, Queens with a 3.5 lb Triggerfish. We sail daily. Come on out for the great fishing and weather we are having!
