Tue Oct 29 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports that fishing today was crazy good!! It was Sea Bass galore today. The first spot was either BIG Sea Bass or tiny Porgies, so we filled up on Sea Bass and headed off to find the Porgies. In the deeper water we found a slow pick of Jumbo and Large Porgies with tiny Sea Bass mixed in. We tried one other spot and had a really nice mix of Porgies and Sea Bass up to 4 lbs, but we had dogs. When we got through them we were rewarded with double headers of both kinds.  We also had some Cod action. All in all very good fishing today. The pool winner was Billy Blake grin Roosevelt, NY with a 3 1/4 lb Porgy.
