Sun Nov 17 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. It was good consistent fishing from start to finish today, with fish at every drop. We did make about 3-4 drops today. We definitely saw an influx of Seabass today, with more anglers pulling up keeper SeaBass than Porgies. We had about 1/2 dozen nice keeper Cod on the boat today, along with plenty of Mackerell, and a good showing of Bluefish. Overall, today was a very good day and Block Island fishing is hot!

The first prize pool winner went to Marshall Blake with a 3.6 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Joseph Mason with a 12 lb Cod fish.  We are definitely sailing again at 5am for our Block Island Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass tomorrow.
